The Devil Wears Prada 2 Scores a Second Win at the Box Office

It seems there is still some life in the magazine business after all, as it even kept a strong hold in its second week.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 took $43M at the domestic box office, a drop of only 44% from its opening weekend. That brings its domestic total of $144.8M. It has raised an additional $244M from foreign markets, bringing the global total to $433.24M.

Second place went to Mortal Kombat II with $40M, and $23M in the foreign markets for a global total of $63M.

Michael landed in third place with $36.5M for a new domestic total of $240.49M. It has taken in a further $336.88M in the foreign markets for a global total of $577.37M.

Fourth place went to The Sheep Detectives with $15.91M. It’s taken in $12.1M in the foreign markets for a global opening of $28.01M.

Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard and Soft—The Tour rounded out the top five with $7.5M in the domestic market. It has taken in $12.6M in the foreign markets for a global total of $20.1M.

The wide releases this week are Driver’s Ed, In the Grey, Is God Is, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe, and Obsession.
