The world of game shows is about to get another entry as Wordle may be heading to NBC.

According to a report from Deadline, a game show based on the popular word game Wordle has been ordered to film a pilot. Jimmy Fallon is producing via his Electric Hot Dog production banner along with Universal Television Alternative Studio and The New York Times.

The game gives you six chances to guess a five-letter word and releases one new puzzle a day. It was launched in 2022 by Welsh software engineer Josh Wardle. He then sold it to The New York Times which has seen its popularity climbing once again.

The pilot is due to be shot in the UK, a growing hub for reality and game show production, thanks to numerous tax credits.

Once the pilot is shot, NBC will then have the option to pass or order it to series.
