The first Spinal Tap II trailer sets up that the band is back, and it looks as though they are just as off their rockers as ever despite never seeing their faces.
The plot is said to revolve around Spinal Tap doing a reunion show 15 years after their final show.
Returning cast includes Christopher Guest as Nigel Tufnel, Michael McKean as David St. Hubbins, Harry Shearer as Derek Smalls, Rob Reiner as Marty Di Bergi, and Fran Drescher as Bobbi Flekman. There are also guest appearances by P Paul McCartney, Elton John, Garth Brooks, Questlove, Trisha Yearwood, Chad Smith, and Lars Ulrich.
Spinal Tap II is scheduled to hit theaters on Sept. 12, 2025. This is Spinal Tap will return to theaters over the summer in limited engagements.
