Dog Man wins a second weekend at the box office

After a strong performance last weekend, the box office retreated to quieter ground.

Dog Man took the top spot this weekend with $13.7M for a new domestic total of $54.1M, it has taken in $11.91M overseas for a global total of $66M.

Second place went to Heart Eyes with $8.5M.

Love Hurts opened in third place with $5.8M. It has taken in $1.07M overseas for a global total of $6.87M.

Fourth place went to Mufasa: The Lion King with $3.92M for a new domestic total of $235.2M. Combined with the $435.9M from overseas it stands at $671.1M.

Companion landed in fifth place with $3.02M for a new domestic total of $15.48M. A further $8.83M came in from the foreign markets for a global total of $24.32M.

The wide releases this week are Captain America: Brave New World, Paddington in Peru, Armand, and Becoming Led Zepplin.
