It seems that Patty Jenkins’ Star Wars: Rogue Squadron has been delayed indefinitely.

According to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter, the highly anticipated Star Wars film has been pulled from the Disney schedule for the time being.
Sources within Walt Disney are saying the delay was brought about due to scheduling issues on Jenkins’ side. The director has other commitments that are going to conflict with the production schedule of the film. The film is not being canceled outright, however, as there are hopes for her to return to the project when her schedule frees up.
Jenkins and writer Matthew Robinson have been working on the film with an eye towards beginning filming in 2022.
Where the film franchise side of the Star Wars universe goes from here is anyone’s guess. There hasn’t been a film since 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, and none are currently on the schedule for production. Multiple TV projects are in the works for Disney Plus, but we’ll have to wait to find out when we’ll next be seeing a big screen addition to the series.
There are currently some rumors floating around of fan-favorite video game Knights of the Old Republic being turned into a film. There has been no official comment on that as of yet, but it would certainly be a popular choice with a lot of fans.
The Book of Boba Fett will be the next Star Wars project to debut on Dec. 29 on Disney Plus.
