Tron: Ares Takes the Top Spot at the Box Office

It seems that Taylor Swift can dominate anything she puts her mind to.

First place went to Tron: Ares with $33.5M. Estimates had pegged it anywhere from $40 to $50M.

Roofman landed in second place with $8M.

Third place went to One Battle After Another with $6.67M for a new domestic total of $54.5M. It has taken in $83.5M for a global total of $138M.

Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie landed in fourth place with $3.35M for a new domestic total of $26.43M. It has taken in $19.54M in the foreign markets for a global total of $45.97M.

Fifth place went to Soul on Fire with $3M.

The wide releases this week are Black Phone 2, Good Fortune, Pets on a Train, Truth & Treason, and After the Hunt.
