First place went to Superman with $122M at the domestic box office. It took in $95M in the foreign markets for a global opening of $217M.
Jurassic World Rebirth came in second with $40M for a domestic total that now stands at $232.11M. It has taken in $297.34M in the foreign markets for a global total of $529.46M.
Third place went to F1: The Movie with $13M for a new domestic total of $136.19M. It has taken in $257.2M in the foreign markets for a global launch of $393.39M.
How to Train Your Dragon came in fourth with $7.8M for a new domestic total of $239.8M. It has taken in $320.96M in the foreign markets for a global total of $560.77M.
Fifth place went to Elio with $3.9M in the U.S. for a domestic total of $63.66M. It has taken in a further $53.6M on foreign screens for a global total of $117.26M.
The wide releases this week are Eddington, I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Smurfs.
