The weekend was a bit closer than most expected, and it was also an unusual mix at the top of the charts.
First place went to Send Help with $20M. It took in a further $8.1M in the foreign markets for a global opening of $28.1M.
Iron Lung took in a stunning $18M considering its micro-budget and next to no marketing.
Third place went to Melania with $7.04M.
Zootopia 2 landed in fourth place with $5.8M for a new domestic total of $408.95M. It has taken in $1.289B in the foreign markets for a global total of $1.698B.
Fifth place went to Shelter with $5.5M. It took in $7.5M in the foreign markets for a global total of $13M.
The wide releases this week are Buffalo Kids, Dracula, Solo Mio, and Strangers: Chapter 3.
