Zootopia 2 landed in third place with $8.76M for a new domestic total of $390.01M. It has taken in $1.313B in the foreign markets for a global total of $1.703B. It now stands as the highest-grossing U.S.-produced animated film of all time, unseating Inside Out 2.
Fourth place went to The Housemaid with $8.51M for a new domestic total of $107.14M. It has taken in $138.6M in the foreign markets for a global total of $245.74M. With a rumored production budget of $35M, things are going very well here, and rumors are a sequel is in development.
Marty Supreme landed in fifth place with $5.47M for a new domestic total of $79.65M. It has taken in $13.27M in the foreign markets for a global total of $92.92M.
The wide releases this week are Mercy, Return to Silent Hill, and The Testament of Ann Lee.
