Conjuring: Last Rites Scares Up a Win at the Box Office

Warner Bros. Discovery scored yet another win and shows it is a growing force in horror.

The Conjuring: Last Rites came in first with $83M, a new record for the series. It took in a further $104M in the foreign markets for an opening weekend of $187M off of a $55M budget. Seems hard to imagine it will truly be the last in the series.

Second place went to the theatrical release of Hamilton with $10M.

Weapons came in third with $5.37M for a new domestic total of $143.04M. It has taken in a further $108.5M in the foreign markets for a global total of $251.54M.

Fourth place went to Freakier Friday with $3.8M for a domestic total of $87.81M. It has taken in $55.1M in the foreign markets for a global total of $142.91M.

Caught Stealing landed in fifth place with $3.2M for a new domestic total of $14.9M. It has taken in $9.4M in the foreign markets for a global total of $24.3M.

The wide releases this week are Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Infinity Castle, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, The Long Walk, and Spinal Tap II: The End Continues.
