Funko Toy Fair preview – More Pop! figures than is healthy

by Sean P. Aune | February 16, 2019February 16, 2019 6:00 am EST

Funko appears set on world domination judging by everything it has in store. Toy Fair is just kicking off, but the day before the show floor opened the company spent it sending out emails throughout the day with even more product. We could barely keep up with it all.

We’re going to kick things off with the animation products and then just keep moving. We can’t possibly go into detail on every item, so just take this as a taste of what’s coming in 2019.

In the TV category, it looks like we’re going to be touching a lot on the 1960s and 1970s this year.

We’re a bit surprised by the inclusion of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, but you have to figure Funko is going to make a figure of everyone at some point.

How is it that mascots are just happening for the MLB? You would have thought this would have happened ages ago.

Music is always a strong area for Funko, and it’s good to see the company touching on so many different styles of music as well.

The Ghostbusters appear to be getting a ton of love this year, along with the 40th anniversary of Alien when it comes to the movies area.

And wrapping things up, Funko is going heavy on PEZ. It seems like every 1970s animated character is getting a PEZ.

Toy Fair is just kicking off, stay tuned for a ton more from the show!
